MEDIDAS PRESIDENCIALES EN MATERIA DE INMIGRACIÓN
DACA - BAJO LA PRESIDENCIA DE OBAMA
En 2012, Obama instituyó la DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) que permitía a estos niños permanecer en el país legalmente.
Durante la campaña, Trump prometió derogar DACA y DAPA (Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents), una promesa que los activistas contra la amnistía vigilan de cerca.
En agosto de 2016, el presidente Trump declaró "Terminaremos inmediatamente las dos amnistías ejecutivas ilegales del presidente Obama, en las que desafió la ley federal y la constitución para dar amnistía a aproximadamente 5 millones de inmigrantes ilegales."
Hasta el momento (29 de enero de 2017), el presidente Trump no ha emitido ningún cambio en el actual Programa DACA.
El 26 de enero de 2017, el presidente Trump declaró en una entrevista con el presentador de ABC News, David Muir, "Vamos a salir con la política sobre eso en el próximo período de cuatro semanas", explicó Trump cuando se le preguntó acerca de los llamados "DREAMers."

ACCIÓN EJECUTIVA - BAJO LA PRESIDENCIA DE TRUMP 2017
El 27 de enero de 2018, el presidente Trump aprobó una amplia orden ejecutiva que suspendía la entrada de todos los refugiados a Estados Unidos durante 120 días, prohibía indefinidamente la entrada de refugiados sirios y bloqueaba la entrada a Estados Unidos durante 90 días a los ciudadanos de siete países predominantemente musulmanes: Irán, Irak, Libia, Somalia, Sudán, Siria y Yemen.
También prohibió a los titulares de green cards de esos países volver a entrar en Estados Unidos, informó el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional, aunque la administración dijo que podrían concederse exenciones.
El 28 de enero de 2017, el Servicio de Inmigración (USCIS) emitió la siguiente declaración con respecto a cómo el servicio de Inmigración procederá con las Acciones Ejecutivas del Presidente Trump:

WASHINGTON: Tras la emisión de las órdenes judiciales de ayer, la Oficina de Aduanas y Protección de Fronteras de los Estados Unidos (CBP) comenzó inmediatamente a tomar medidas para cumplir con las órdenes.
